Visitors walk along\u00a0 a new coloured concrete path, following a vine with a pebble mosaiced stem and leaves studded with\u00a0with hand crafted ceramic vegetables, leading to the entrance to Bulleen Art & Garden.\u00a0This walkway is lined with beds of lush produce plants- herbs, fruit, veggies & companion plants.\u00a0\u00a0 This entrance reflects our growing efforts to inspire and promote growing our own food in our home gardens.<\/p>\n

These garden beds are a\u00a0 21st century Australian\u00a0 version of parterre gardens . They are set out in near symmetry, but\u00a0 are edged with recycled metal railings in place of the traditional hedging . The beds are raised, and will envelop visitors as they walk to the entrance.<\/p>\n

The Kitchen Garden Walk and the Food Forest were both launched in December 2007 by Melissa King<\/strong> of the Garden Gurus.<\/p>\n

This is a\u00a0 team effort by many BAG staff &\u00a0 friends<\/strong> .<\/p>\n

Overall design and concept are by\u00a0 Joy Froebel of<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 BAG.<\/p>\n
